Coronavirus Cleaning Protocol

QBM is paying special attention to all high-touch surfaces including countertops, sinks, faucets, toilets, hand rails, light switches, grab bars and door handles.

QBM Supervision has been notified that if any QBM staff member reporting to work is sick or shows signs of sickness such as a cold, a cough or running a fever, they are to be sent home and denied access to the facility where they clean for QBM.

QBM has switched our chemicals to clean all restrooms and break rooms accordingly. We were using Virex, but have switched to Virex II which is a Level II germicidal hospital grade disinfectant.

QBM has engaged all day and night staff in a training seminar to review the processes and procedures by which we clean a restroom and break room with emphasis on the disinfecting of all high-touch surfaces listed above. We have reviewed the importance of the “clean to dirty” method for restroom cleaning.

QBM can, upon request, set up disinfectant stations throughout the building. Each station will have hand sanitizer, a box of medium and large gloves, a case of small trash can liners, a box of tissue and a dispensary unit of disposable Virex II wet wipes, for anyone choosing to do their own disinfecting of their desk, door handles, etc.

We're following strict CDC Guidelines:
  • Wash hands for 20 seconds using soap and covering ALL aspects of the exposed hand.
  • Use hand sanitizer once every hour in between hand washing opportunities.
  • When coughing or sneezing, do so directly into a tissue and then throw that tissue directly into the trash can. When finished, immediately wash your hands.
  • If you are sick – stay home.

  • Avoid shaking hands as a regular greeting until this virus has passed.

  • Remember – the protocol for treating Coronavirus is the same protocol for treating the flu and flu-like symptoms, so use common sense.
